Biography

John and Rick paired up in early 2008 and are members of Skandia Team GBR, the British Sailing Team in the Olympic classes. They sail the 49er skiff which is the fastest Olympic class with a massive power to weight ratio.

The World Championships at Lake Garda in 2009 have been there best result so far where they got a silver medal. Followed by 8^th position in Bahamas for the 2010 Championships. This winter the team have been training in Perth and competing in a test for the 2011 Worlds where they finished 5^th and 2^nd British team.  Their main goal in 2011 is to secure Olympic selection. Sail for Gold regatta in June is there main focus for the year.

The team are funded and supported by Skandia and UK Sport. There boat is fitted out with the help from Allen brothers who are marine equipment specialists.
