Biography

Catamaran sailors and windsurfers are a similar bunch, we all believe in ‘lead free sailing’! What is the point of dragging those big lead keels around? We have so many similarities, with our flat square top sails, arm fulls of power and a real need for speed.

Whilst looking for a new catamaran sailing wetsuit 3 years ago I bumped into Mark. He invited me to join Team Spartan to help developing wetsuits for catamaran sailors and I couldn’t say yes fast enough.

I bought my first Spartan steamer 15years ago and it lasted for years. Mark is the typical laid back windsurfer who is crazy for his sport, I feel the same way about catamaran racing and the suits are getting better all the time as a result.

My suit right now is ‘The Liberty long john and jacket’. It’s a really flexible system which allows me to move freely around the boat and easily adjust how warm I am. The Liberty Jacket also doubles as a rashvest replacement, covering all the lifejacket straps keeping me safe from getting snagged on the boat…. Which is key!

I can’t wait for next years suit.. . roll on the boat show where I’ll see it!
