Biography

Will Rogers

Originally a competitive dinghy sailer, campaigning 29ers, 49ers and Musto Skiffs, Will got hooked on windsurfing while studying for a composite materials engineering degree in Plymouth.  Windsurfing then pretty much ruled his life, getting on the water as much as possible and road tripping all over europe, and northern africa every summer.  Entering the world of work didnt go so well as he kept quitting his job for 3 post university summers to keep getting away training all over the world.  In 2009 Will spent 3 months in the depths of western sahara, at one of the worlds best freestyle spots (link) getting to a high level in freestyle before settling down to an engineering role in Devon where he maximizes his on the water time by being close to wind and surf in cornwall.

In 2009 Will set up the On forecast freestyle windsurfing concept ‘ Xpression ‘ due to the lack of freestyle windsurfing competition at the time.  He is now a competitor and often event winner on the UKWA freestyle tour and continues to run and develop the on forecast events alongside the UKWA.  Passionate about developing the skills of young freestyle windsurfers in the UK, Will has written freestyle technque and travel articles that have been publish in the UK magazines.

Due to the constraints of work hours, will now also spends any non windy moment on his SUP as well as directing his engineering design mind towards helping Spartan develop even better wetsuits.   Making the very most out of his ‘weekend warrior’ situation he will always be at the beach pushing products to their absolute limit…It is not uncommon to see him out on his SUP or windsurfer on week day evenings until darkness falls all through the summer months and on  the water when the snow is falling in winter.
